As well as shaping the union’s regional narrative on public service issues, I also lead on campaigns. I’ve built meaningful relationships with key stakeholders, including elected representatives at various levels, government agencies, employers, and members.
I contribute to other business areas and projects as required and offer professional support and training to both paid staff and 54 regional branches to build a communications culture throughout the region and strengthen our national influencing abilities.

I worked across a number of programmes and newsroom roles for BBC Radio Derby. I presented weekday and weekend shows as well as producing the station's breakfast and drive programmes. I have a natural ability to tell stories, a critical ear, and an appreciation of what makes compelling content.

I managed and coached a small locally based team and a larger number of remote overseas staff. I assisted with the day-today running of the country's biggest radio station, organised national events, developed engaging cross- platform content, and built strong relationships with international brands, local clients, and key stakeholders.
2016 - 2017
Worthing, West Sussex
At 26, I was the UK’s youngest commercial radio controller leading a team of broadcasters, journalists, and sales executives.
Working hard to influence and persuade the company's executive board of my ambition for the business, I delivered a successful overhaul of our
brand which saw listening figures and commercial revenue increase.
2014 - 2016
Head of Programming
Hired to work with both the Dubai Royal Family and the Children's Media Network to launch the Middle East's first radio station for young people. I was responsible for every aspect of the public-facing side of the business which included branding,
marketing, advertising, and communications.
The nature of the business meant it was critical to build a positive reputation amongst our potential audience whilst meeting the needs of potential clients, suppliers, and contractors. I built up successful relationships with stakeholders including The Walt Disney Company to secure programming content and financial investment.

Hosted the UAE’s #1 English breakfast show for expatriates. Delivered a creative, fun and inclusive show with an aggressive social media strategy.

Poached by the UK’s biggest radio group to present the networked overnight show across The Hit Music Network and developed a personality-led show relying heavily on audience content and phone calls. The show was syndicated across the East Midlands and South East England.
